About

Craft E Magee is the creation of Elizabeth "Crafty" Magee. Elizabeth has been crafting since she first learned to use glue and scissors in preschool. In high school she focused on collage and scrapbooking until she learned hand sewing and embroidery from her art teacher (a man who was both a baseball coach and a Vietnam veteran). She then borrowed her Great Grandmother's sewing machine and used the internet to teach herself to sew on the machine. She has been sewing ever since.

This blog started in 2011 as a way to share her one-of-a-kind handmade dolls that have been sold on Etsy, at Unique Handmade Gifts, Block Party Handmade Boutique, and in art fairs around Louisville, Kentucky where she lives. Now she uses this website to share craft projects and tips, party ideas, tutorials, free printables, and more.

Craft E Magee has appeared in regular craft segments on WDRB in the Morning with D.I.Y. Louisville, at The Kentucky State Fair as a Textiles Judge, and been featured on Craft Gossip and One Pretty Thing.

When she's not crafting she likes to read, attend plays with her mom, or binge watch shows and movies with her husband. If you would like to contact her, email craftemagee[at]live[dot]com.
