The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

At least I hope these stockings will be! I am making them for the Christmas in Anchorage show next Saturday. I am hoping that people love them as much as I do!

Each stocking has different fabrics and trims, so each one is unique!

I had a blast picking out the fabrics for these with my Mom. She has a pretty good eye for color and is very supportive of my crafty biz! I like to think that the care that goes into each one of my handmade items makes them special, and that people will be excited to see what I've made.

Other things I am working on for the December 3rd show include more Elf dolls, gingerbread ornaments and plush, and zip pouches. I've got a busy week ahead of me, but I love crafting!

Small Business Saturday

I am way behind on my Christmas gift list. I haven't made or purchased one thing yet! So, even though I haven't been shopping yet, I wanted to post some cool things I have purchased in the past from local businesses, in honor of Small Business Saturday.

J and I picked out 2 awesome art prints from Mad Pixel at a local art show. He picked the cat dreaming about sushi while I picked the sunny print of our neighborhood- Germantown!

I got some note cards at the same art show from ModTod that feature some of the neighborhoods from Louisville, KY, the city where I live.

Last Christmas, I picked up a cute hair barrette with this little snowman at Just Creations. I decided it would be better as a pin, so I refashioned it.

Other cool places to shop in Louisville include WHY Louisville, Carmichael's, and Scout.

Christmas stockings!

Three years ago I made 2 simple matching stockings for my boyfriend J and I to celebrate our first Christmas together. They were made from some red, white, and blue IKEA fabric. Every year, we pull them out for Christmas. I had originally intended to make new stockings every year because I thought that it would be a fun, visual catalog of our Christmases together. Last year I wanted to make a Mary Jane stocking for me and a Converse stocking for him. I never did get around to making any more stockings... but since I am doing the Christmas in Anchorage craft show on December 3rd, I thought it was the perfect time to start up again! J may even get a fresh new stocking out of it!

Mini Dolls

Some of my latest creations are these mini dolls named Macie, Finley, Rowan, & Bernadette. These dollies can be found at the ModTod booth at several holiday shows around town. They are the perfect little size for kids and collectors.

St. Margaret Mary craft show

I did my first real arts and craft show today! I have set up before at events, but this was my first time being with all artists and crafters. A few friends from D.I.Y. Louisville mentioned the St. Margaret Mary craft show to me, so I decided to go for it! The show was today and it went pretty well.

My good friend Amanda was there with me, which was great. It really makes things easier to have help. Here I am at my booth!

I made some new dolls for the show that are little Christmas elves! Meet Tinsel, Snowflake, & Ginger!

I would love to do some more shows before the Holidays! I always keep my facebook page up-to-date with where I am and what I'm up to. I have big plans! You should check it out and become a fan! Go to www.facebook.com/CraftEMagee
