Family stockings
Some of the stockings that I had made for the Christmas in Anchorage show ended up hanging from our mantel this year! I am so glad that my family liked them. I had a great Christmas holiday! I hope that you did, too!

Erin
Here is the second of the four custom dolls that I have created lately. This is Erin!

Erin loves animals so much, hence the dogs and cats on her jumper. Because of this, I had to be sure to make her a special friend- a little kitten named Caramel.

I hope Erin and Caramel will make a little girl very happy on Christmas morning!

Olivia
I have had 4 orders for custom dolls for Christmas. Today I wanted to share one of them.
This little doll is named Olivia. She is the sweetest little ballerina, dressed in pastel colors. I just love her facial expression!

She is ready to dance into her owner's heart on Christmas day!

I hope the little lady receiving her thinks she's special!

Christmas in Anchorage 2011
On December 3rd I did the Christmas in Anchorage show for the first time! I was very proud of my table display and had a good helper that day!

I was even able to whip up some more Christmas dolls for this show, that I just love! An elf named Holly, and a little Gingerbread boy.

They looked so cute sitting with Ingrid on the table display.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
At least I hope these stockings will be! I am making them for the Christmas in Anchorage show next Saturday. I am hoping that people love them as much as I do!

Each stocking has different fabrics and trims, so each one is unique!

I had a blast picking out the fabrics for these with my Mom. She has a pretty good eye for color and is very supportive of my crafty biz! I like to think that the care that goes into each one of my handmade items makes them special, and that people will be excited to see what I've made.

Other things I am working on for the December 3rd show include more Elf dolls, gingerbread ornaments and plush, and zip pouches. I've got a busy week ahead of me, but I love crafting!

Small Business Saturday
I am way behind on my Christmas gift list. I haven't made or purchased one thing yet! So, even though I haven't been shopping yet, I wanted to post some cool things I have purchased in the past from local businesses, in honor of Small Business Saturday.
J and I picked out 2 awesome art prints from Mad Pixel at a local art show. He picked the cat dreaming about sushi while I picked the sunny print of our neighborhood- Germantown!

I got some note cards at the same art show from ModTod that feature some of the neighborhoods from Louisville, KY, the city where I live.

Last Christmas, I picked up a cute hair barrette with this little snowman at Just Creations. I decided it would be better as a pin, so I refashioned it.

Other cool places to shop in Louisville include WHY Louisville, Carmichael's, and Scout.
