Recently I visited the windy city of Chicago with the ladies from DIY Louisville to attend the Renegade Craft Fair! It was a lot of fun traveling from Kentucky to Illinois. We laughed a lot and bought some great stuff! I wanted to share some of the fun photos from the road trip.
First, we stopped at Nord's Bakery and Sunergos Coffee in Louisville to get some donuts and coffee for the ride! They had the cutest Kentucky shaped cookies on display. About 2 hours in to the trip we stopped for lunch and some wandering near Indianapolis. After we started getting closer to Chicago on our drive through Indiana, it was cool to see all the windmills in action. After a little over 5 hours total, we made it to Chicago! This was my second trip to Chicago this year. I must be addicted! Deep-dish pizza was on the agenda, and of course Gino's East is delish. We stayed downtown and saw some cool landmarks and tried some different restaurants and shops, in addition to our trek to Renegade.
I plan to do a separate post about my crafty finds from Renegade soon, so stay tuned.
